The big photo will take long time to upload via internet.It will also take a long time to show(download) them after the visitors click. Normally, transfer a 200Kbytes photo will take over one minutes on modem, or 20sec on ISDN. To avoid long time waiting, we limited the filesize of photos to less than 200Kbytes. If you have a photo which is larger than it, you should resize it yourself or let the system do it.
We also limit the total upload size perweek of each user, called 'upload-quota'. By default, it is 1M. You can 'buy' more quota by e-coin in 'Settings'. Since there is a limit of total upload perweek, the photographers may choose their best photo to show.
If you don't want to the web system resize your photo, your photo to upload must obey the following items:
Don't worry, any photo oversize will be resized by system automatically. But if you don't want the system process your photo,you can use Turbo Photo to do it yourself.
Step 1: Resize your photo by using 'Image Size' function. Notice: width under 800 pixels, many time, 640 pixels is good enough for web show.
Step 2 : Save for web. Tune the quality and other parameters to make the oputput size less tahn 200Kbytes. Choose a good quality with small size.
